This interactive bedside lamp draws inspiration from a personal memory of childhood: when my mom would turn off the light after I handed her my phone at night. In this design, that small ritual is reinterpreted — sliding a phone into the lamp’s “door gap” initiates wireless charging and simultaneously turns off the light, signaling a moment of rest.
The system combines Arduino control with a wireless charging module and a pressure sensor. The lamp can also be operated manually, but the primary interaction highlights the transition from external care to self-care, as we grow from dependence to independence.
